I follow a wonderful blog called Foundations and Fairytales, who recently shared this post with their readers and I loved the post so much that I am going to join in The Epic Disney Tag.
It’s a list of 15 Disney related questions that have to be answered. If anybody else loves this as much as I do, please join in. It’s always fun to read other people’s answers and learn more about other bloggers and I am going to have a lot of fun reading other blogger’s posts on The Epic Disney Tag.
What scene in any Disney movie do you wish you could experience?
There are two scenes that I would love to experience. One is the ballroom dance scene in Beauty and the Beast. Everything about it is just so beautiful; the music, the dress, the surroundings. The second scene is the lantern scene in Tangled. The lanterns floating up into the sky are just so stunning.
What is an unforgettable experience you’ve had at the parks?
We have so many unforgettable moments. We love Disney World in Florida so much which is why we return so often and we always experience wonderful moments. My current favourite moment is when we first rode Avatar Flight of Passage. I remember walking into the ride area and being a little bit concerned that Evie would be worried about the seating arrangement (I’m trying not to give too much away for those who haven’t yet experienced this ride). We all got on and the ride started. It is just such an incredible ride and I was enjoying it so much, then turned to see the reactions on the rest of the family’s faces and they were all just beaming from ear to ear. It’s the sort of ride that gives you goosebumps.
What non-Disney song reminds you or brings back memories of Disney and or the parks?
When I read this question on Foundations and Fairytales blog, I thought it was going to be impossible to think of an answer. I was so wrong! Have any of you ever visited Typhoon Lagoon? If you have, you will know that they often play The Beach Boys songs throughout the day. So there’s my answer – The Beach Boys music.
When was the first time you went to a Disney park?
I was 24 before I ever set foot on Disney property. Our first Disney trip was Disneyland Paris in 2006. I remember being exhausted but having a great time and wanting to book our next Disney trip as soon as we got back.
If you could choose any of the characters to be your best friend, who would you choose?
I would choose Elsa so she could make it snow at Christmas for me and Belle, so we could share books.
Who is your favourite Disney Princess?
Belle has been my favourite for as long as I can remember, but I do also really like Rapunzel from Tangled. I love the movie so much.
Name a scene/moment in any Disney movie that never fails to make you cry?
There are two moments that are just so sad. The beginning of the Live Action Cinderella, when her mother dies and in Big Hero 6 when Baymax has to detach from the arm of his suit, so that Hiro can survive.
What is your favourite Disney movie?
Beauty and the Beast (both versions) and Tangled.
I know a lot of people will disagree with me here, but I don’t understand the fascination with The Nightmare Before Christmas. As a family we have watched it and although I didn’t hate it, I didn’t particularly enjoy it either. It has a huge fan base though and is it’s own brand now really, with lots of merchandise available, but I’m not fussed on it.
Saving Mr Banks is seriously underrated! It’s such a great movie. I remember when it came out, I wasn’t interested in watching it but we did watch it one evening at home and I loved it!! I recommended it to a few of my friends and family and they also loved it. It is quite an emotional movie and makes me cry, but definitely worth watching.
What is your favourite Disney song?
I can’t choose just one, sorry! A few of my favourites are Happy Working Song from Enchanted, Part of your World from The Little Mermaid, Breaking Free from High School Musical and I See the Light from Tangled.
What is your least favourite Disney movie?
The Nightmare Before Christmas is my least favourite Disney movie.
Name your most memorable Disney villain?
Favourite classic Disney/favourite modern Disney movie?
My favourite classic Disney movie is Beauty and the Beast original version. As for my favourite modern Disney movie, it would probably be the Toy Story movies.
Favourite Disney score?
I wholeheartedly agree with Foundations and Fairytales on this one. ‘Married Life’ from Up is just amazing.
