First of all can I just say a HUGE Thank you to Disney Trivia Blog for nominating me for the Sunshine Blogger Award! I am loving writing this blog, but know that I still have so much to learn, so just knowing that somebody is reading and enjoying my blog enough to nominate it for an award is amazing. I am truly grateful.
What is the Sunshine Blogger Award?
It’s an award given by bloggers, to other fellow bloggers who they feel inspire positivity and creativity. It’s like a little sprinkle of sunshine, to bloggers that try to spread a bit of sunshine themselves.

Questions from Disney Trivia Blog:
What inspires you to blog?
Family is my inspiration. I want somewhere that we can share our family adventures and our love of Disney because we always love to spend time talking about Disney. Being nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award has motivated me to write more content too.
What is your favourite Disney film?
This is such a difficult question because there are so many amazing movies. Whenever anybody asks me this I always ask them what category they are talking about and they look at me like I’m mad. So then I have to explain that Disney movies fall under different categories, such as Classics, Pixar, Live Action, Marvel Universe. At this point they usually tell me I’m overthinking the question though, so they clearly don’t understand the mind of a true Disney fan.
If I absolutely had to choose just one, with no option of categories, then I will go with Beauty and the Beast animated version.
If you could blog about any other topic than what you currently blog about, what would it be?
I think it would probably be food. We are definitely a family of foodies. In fact, a lot of our Disney World itinerary is based around what dining reservations we have been able to book. We book the dining first (180 days out) and then from there we decide what parks to visit on particular days.
We also love watching food channels. Our favourites right now are Disney Food Blog on YouTube and The Pioneer Woman on Food Network.
The most important thing though is to write about something I truly love.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Absolutely the easiest question to answer. Walt Disney World is my answer every time because we have so many wonderful memories. Although when our youngest daughter is a bit older, we would like to do a road trip of America, but that’s not really one specific place so too broad an answer really.
What is your favourite dessert?
I’m not a massive dessert person. I usually find sweet stuff too sickly. However, there is one dessert that I love from the Nigella Lawson Christmas cookbook, called Girdlebuster Pie. It is a biscuit base, with coffee ice cream in the centre and a caramel sauce over the top. I don’t get to make it often, because we don’t always have enough room to keep it in the freezer, but when I do make it, it doesn’t last long because I just can’t resist having a slice of it after my dinner in the evening.
If you were stuck on any Disney attraction for 5 hours straight, which one would you choose?
Toy Story Mania. It is the most fun ride ever!
What is your earliest memory?
My earliest memory as a child is when I was about age 4 and my mum was going out for the evening, so the babysitter picked me and my 2 sisters up to take us to the park for an hour while our mum got ready for her night out. When we got home, our mum had left us all a comic, a can of soda (a real treat at that age), a chocolate bar and some candy floss. Such a sweet memory.
My earliest Disney memory is easy. My first Disney holiday was our weekend away to Disneyland Paris in 2005 and even though we already liked Disney, this trip was what sparked our passion.
What is your favourite holiday?
My favourite holiday that we have ever had is of course Walt Disney World and we love going every year. However, some years we bolt on a Disney Cruise as well and this addition really makes the holiday even more magical. We have visited so many places now that we would never choose to go for a full family holiday, so the Disney cruise is the perfect way to see all these beautiful locations but still having the comfort of the Disney bubble.
If you could escape to any fictional land, which would it be?
Ok this is going against my love of Disney, but I would love to go to Hogwarts and be a real life wizard!
Which area of blogging would you like some more support?
I would love some support in increasing my traffic and followers. I love that I have been nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award but I feel like I still need more traffic to make people more aware of my blog.
Which blog post was your favourite to write?
I have two favourite posts. One is the Schools Out for Summer post and my other favourite is Our Disney Beach Club Stay, because I enjoyed writing these posts and love some of the photos I took for them.
